Why do my eyes get red after taking off my contacts?

I wear the new Synergeyes Duette contacts, which are soft on the outer part of the contact and hard in the middle. Everytime I take off my contacts my eyes get red and when I wake up in the morning they are still red. How can I prevent this from occuring daily?
